Horses
have been in my life since I was 6 weeks old.
My sister put me in the saddle with her and rode
me around the rodeo arena. My family has always
had horses around them, but I did not officially
get into riding horses until I was a teenager
with 4-H, playdays, parades, and the Liberty County
Sheriffs Posse.

Now, I do lots
of trail riding with my two buckskin quarter horses.
Fancy is 17 and has been there done that. Fancy
is the horse I have mainly ridden for 8 years
now. Before that, my uncle rode her mostly for
hog hunting in the river bottom near Liberty,
TX. Bucky (Fancy’s son) is 13 and I just started
training him a year and a half ago. Bucky was
an unexpected surprise for my uncle… Fancy went
to the trainer and came back with a bonus pregnancy
and my uncle did not know she was pregnant until
the day she delivered Bucky. (He thought she was
just getting fat)
I had never seen
Parelli, but I started investigating him when
I won tickets to see him in Belton this past October.
It was the most amazing experience and I fell
in love with his techniques. So, I joined the
Savvy club and have started working and playing
with Bucky and would like to complete level 1
with him in a few months.
